Overcome The Limit Of Disability With Breakfast, Lunch and Hugs

Tim Harris- Friendliest Restaurant Owner With Down’s Syndrome

For many families with special needs that I’ve spoken to, one of their biggest concerns is whether the disabled persons have the ability to look after themselves financially in the long haul. We always have concerns whether they could find a job, but we rarely talk about the possibility of them operating their own business, at least not until I watched the video of the inspiring, Tim Harris.

According to AOL’s introduction on Youtube, “Tim Harris, owner of Tim’s Place, is the country’s only restaurant owner with Down’s Syndrome, and the joy he gets from serving people good food carries over into his diner’s most famous export: hugs! Tim’s restaurant is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is open 7 days a week.”

With the great assistance and love of Tim’s family, he is able to fulfill his dream. One key lesson I learned from Tim is never limit yourself of what you could achieve, everyone has abundance of talents where they could share with the people surround them. I’m sure you’ll be inspired what a positive impact Tim can bring to his restaurant customers.
